A SOUTH Derbyshire manufacturing firm has been rewarded for its outstanding achievement in contributing to global business growth, Brunel Healthcare, in William Nadin Way, Swadlincote, along with its parent NutraHealth Plc, has been presented with a coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise.
They have received the award in recognition of their outstanding achievement in the international trade category for delivering substantial commercial growth worldwide.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the highest business accolade a UK company can receive and is recognised globally.
James McEuen, chief executive of NutraHealth Plc, said: "It is an honour and delight for NutraHealth and its team at Brunel to win the Queen's Award.
"It recognises the successful delivery of the first stage of a carefully considered plan, which has showcased and extended our UK vitamin and supplement manufacturing and branded businesses to customers and consumers globally.
"Our health education and self-care strategy leverages Britain's fantastic reputation for brands and manufacturing, and is helping hundreds of thousands of children, women and men across the globe optimise their health and wellbeing.
"We have built a thriving Midlands-based healthcare business, employing more than 400 people, proudly making and exporting the best of British."
As a UK manufacturer of vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements, Brunel Healthcare specialises in making packaging and labels for healthcare products for other companies around the world.
Their growth has made a 'significant contribution' to the growth of NutraHealth's export business.
The Queen's Award follows the recent opening of the firm's new 90,000 square foot packing and warehousing facility, in William Nadin Way.
I have seen this company go from strength to strength, relying on an excellent local workforce and growth through innovation. This award is testimony to all the Team at Brunel and another feather in the cap for everyone in South Derbyshire.
