Mrs Wheeler MP recently visited the Repton business, Gibson Technology. She met with Managing Director Mr Mark Brittan and Operations Director Mr John Manchester to see more in depth how Gibson Technology is a world-leading supplier of expertise in high-performance race engines in the world of Motorsports.
Mr Brittan and Mr Manchester began the visit with a quick catch-up and told Mrs Wheeler about how one of the company’s first historic Zytek race cars, along with the assets of their chassis business, had just been sold to another company and will be raced in ‘races around the world’. Gibson Technology was eager to inform Heather about their involvement with new advanced electrical machines and novel power electronic systems which have been designed with vehicle-mounted applications in mind, providing auxiliary power where mains may not exist.
The MP for South Derbyshire was then shown around the site for a more in depth understanding of how each Gibson Engine is constructed and tested. From cutting the metals to revving the engines in purpose built super silent testing beds, all waste scraps are sent off to be recycled and reused for another purpose.

A South Derbyshire business providing for all sorts of motorsports across the globe. Now working with organizations to provide the next generation of vehicles. Unbelievable!”
