Heather recently visited Gresley House Care Home in Church Gresley which provides residential care, including care for those with dementia, for up to 36 residents and is part of a group of care homes run by RSP Properties. The Home also provides short-term respite care.
The Home has a number of communal rooms alongside the dining room and lounge, with a café space, a bar and a library/piano room. In the dining room, there is now, since Christmas, one long communal table – as residents asked for the long table to be kept following the Christmas celebrations.
In 2023 the care home celebrated achieving a ‘Good’ report by CQC.
Heather Wheeler OBE MP says: “What a charming home, you can really feel the care that staff give residents as you arrive. There was a resident dancing, others having a coffee in the café area, and others relaxing in the lounge. I was able to chat to a number of people – which was lovely.
“I want to offer my congratulations to all the staff for achieving a Good rating in 2023 – the House Manager Jules has 40 years of experience in Care and it shows. It really was a very happy place.”
Jules, House Manager says: “We would just like to say thank you to Heather for her kind words and her lovely visit which the residents truly enjoyed. We are all very happy here at Gresley since having our CQC report of Good which was published in October. We will continue to be part of the community keeping our residents' Health, Happiness, and Well-being at the heart of all we do.”
