Recently I thanked staff and volunteers at South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau for providing constituents with the advice and support they need to solve their problems.
At an event in parliament on Tuesday 16 June 2015 I met with people from across the Citizens Advice Service, which nationally helps 2.5 million people a year with 6.2 million issues.
South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau provides free confidential and impartial advice to people in South Derbyshire face to face and over the telephone. In my experience as the MP over the past five years, the South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) have provided invaluable counsel to so many, we are all indebted to them for the hard work they do in our community.
It is my intention to carry on working just as closely and continue to provide support to our local CAB over the next five years so we can tackle the problems of South Derbyshire residents together. Furthermore I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the workers and volunteers at the South Derbyshire CAB, without your investment of time, knowledge, experience, and at times emotional support this vital service would not be what it is.
