I recently congratulated JCB Power Systems in our constituency of South Derbyshire on being awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is only awarded to companies who meet strict high level criteria.
Since JCB’s founding in 1945 it has not only grown to be one of the UK’s largest most successful companies, but also a sign of excellence and reliability when it comes to the construction industry. JCB’s products are so well built it is no wonder that people are still using JCB’s which were built thirty years ago, a key reason for export sales.
This award is well deserved so I have written to Lord Bamford of JCB and Mr Alan Dale the Chief Executive of the winning plant. JCB Power Systems in Foston in our constituency is the best and most successful division of their business providing great jobs for local people who produce a great product for the UK and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow.
