Heather visited Shardlow Manor recently. She met with the owner Tracey Popowycz and the Manager Rebekah Henshall, as well as several staff members. She had a tour of the care home and its facilities; she met a number of the residents, and she had a sit down with management and staff to discuss the current state of affairs.
Shardlow Manor is a care home based in a grade II-listed Georgian house on London Road in Shardlow. Following the building of an extension; Shardlow Manor now has accommodation for twenty-eight residents’, in both single or shared rooms; and most rooms have ensuite facilities. It offers a variety of types of care and all rooms are centrally heated and offer a good standard of comfort. Residents are also able to bring their own furniture, and it even allows for pets.
Heather Wheeler says, ‘It was a pleasure to go back to Shardlow Manor and see how the staff and residents were keeping. By all standards, it is a lovely care home. The residents are all extremely well looked after, and it is very clean and comfortable. It is a true testament to its quality that most staff have worked there for over ten years, with some having been there for over 30 years! I enjoyed meeting the residents and taking part in some of their activities and I was very impressed at how quickly they were able to answer some rather tricky riddles. The staff are incredibly hardworking, and this is evident in the high standards of care that the residents receive.’
Tracey Popowycz added “It was a pleasure to welcome Heather to Shardlow Manor. We are pleased with the feedback received which reflects the hard work and dedication of all our staff.”
