Heather opened Logicool Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps Ltd’s new business premises in Swadlincote. Logicool, a local family business which started in 2008, is a designer and supplier of renewable products including Heat Pumps, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
The new premises uses Logicool’s own methodology of low carbon technologies such as heat pumps and mechanical heat recovery systems alongside a building design that uses less energy to heat than traditional methods allow.
Heather Wheeler MP says:
“It was really a pleasure to open this local, and extremely successful business’s new premises today. Such a great idea for Logicool to use their own methodology in their new building to reduce their own carbon footprint and importantly in these times energy use. In these uncertain days where businesses are under so much pressure to keep costs to a minimum Logicool are a must go to now. Their expansion and desire to expand and invest in South Derbyshire is so welcome.”
Karl Richardson, Managing Director of Logicool Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps Ltd says:
“Having worked closely with Heat Pumps for the last thirty years I have seen our trade transition from “what’s a Heat Pump” to “can you tell me more about Heat Pumps”? Businesses and homeowners are faced with many challenges in the coming years as upcoming legislation will encourage them to think about their buildings and how to improve efficiencies, use less energy and improve their Carbon Footprint. Our knowledge at Logicool Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps allows us an opportunity to help businesses and homeowners. We are proud to have designed and built a workplace which consumes very little energy yet also provides a comfortable and healthy environment for our employees to work in. Our aim is to become a genuine Carbon Neutral or Carbon Net Zero business in the next two years and we are ready to help advise the local community how to embrace new technologies and follow our lead.”
