Heather recently was joined by students from Rosliston CE Primary School, His Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Col. John Wilson OBE and James Stafford – Deputy Lieutenant to plant a tree for the Queen’s Green Canopy and, secondly, to plant four trees to celebrate the accession of King Charles III. The planting was followed by three cheers for the King.
The trees form part of a hedgerow and tree myths trail.
Heather says:
“It was an honour to plant a tree for the Queen’s Green Canopy and for our new King at Rosliston Forestry Centre surrounded by excited children, a lovely event. His Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant made a stirring speech. I'm sure the children will remember this day for the rest of their lives."
