On Tuesday night I voted for the motion for ‘real recall’ of MPs.
Having listened to the debate and having sat on the Standards and Privileges Select Committee for over three years I realised that the time was right for registered voters to be able to take responsibility and have their voices heard by signing a petition at the Town Hall if they feel that their MP had acted so egregiously that recall ought to happen. So I voted for Zac Goldsmith’s amendment.
It was a very interesting debate where all views on this matter were aired.
