Yorkshire Bank have contacted me to help raise awareness of their annual ‘Yorkshire Bank Spirit of the Community Awards 2016’ now in its fourth year, which could see projects in Derbyshire sharing a funding boost of £75,000 to help make a difference in our local area.
Registered Charities and not for profit organisations are invited to enter their projects into the awards scheme under one of three categories: projects which help people to have a healthy relationship with money, projects which help people to improve their local environment and projects which help people into employment.
Five projects will be selected in each of the three categories and all 15 winners will be awarded £5,000 each.
For more detailed information about the Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Foundation’s Spirit of the Community Awards and to enter, people can visit www.ybonline.co.uk/foundation. The closing date for applications is Friday 8th April 2016 and the winners will be announced in summer 2016.
I would encourage all South Derbyshire projects in line with Yorkshire Bank’s criteria to apply, the more that apply the better chance we have of getting the funding and helping other South Derbyshire residents.
