Heather recently visited Eureka Primary School in Midway, Swadlincote, to meet with the Deputy Head Teacher, Mr Brazier and to join the school assembly after lunchtime break. OFSTED have recently confirmed Eureka Primary Schools “Good” rating quoting a parent describing the school as ‘A lovely school with a real community feel’.
Heather says:
“Following on from the Q&A session I did with the pupils, I was able to ask the Deputy Head Mr Brazier, who had been a pupil at this school himself, if they were excited about the new extension that is being erected to accommodate extra pupils from the new nearby estate. As always, the enthusiasm was palpable, and it was lovely to see."
“I also discussed with Mr Brazier the parking issues that have been raised with me by local residents. We all agreed, and hoped, that the new extension would provide more car parking alongside parents being encouraged to walk to drop off and collect their children on this busy road.”
