Heather Wheeler OBE MP recently visited Daisy Brook Boarding Kennels in Stanton. Owned by Matthew and Sally Hunt, the company is family-run and was established in November 2012. Mrs Wheeler OBE was given a tour of the premises and the kennels as well as being shown the company’s specialised dog transport van.
With over 30 years of experience in animal care, Mr and Mrs Hunt take care of a multitude of different breeds in compliance with DEFRA regulations regarding the health and welfare of boarding dogs. Awarded a five-star rating by South Derbyshire District Council, the premises offer spacious outdoor play areas as well as indoor bedding areas. Having recently been awarded a National Forest Grant, a large plot of the premises has been developed into an area of protected tree growth.
Mrs Heather Wheeler OBE MP says:
“It was a pleasure to be shown around Daisy Brook Boarding Kennels. Matthew, Sally and Charlotte were very welcoming and gave me a wonderful tour of their facilities. Bathed in sunlight, their Forest Grant trees provided a lovely setting for a chat about the company and the dogs. I am very pleased to see a local business doing so well. I look forward to visiting again.”
Owner Matthew and Sally Hunt say:
“We are immensely proud of everything that we have achieved, as a family at Daisy Brook and we are extremely grateful to Heather for all of her support”.
