Heather Wheeler MP recently visited Overseal Primary School on the Woodville Road. Heather was invited to address the whole school assembly as well as having a chance to catch up with Co-Headteacher, Mrs Fiona Hughes.
Overseal Primary School’s SATs results are consistently above national average in all areas and OFSTED gives the school a consistent ‘Good’ rating with high standards both academically and socially.

“I was given an extremely warm welcome at Overseal Primary school. I was able to address the whole school assembly, normally in the afternoon, but which they had kindly moved to the morning to fit into my jam-packed diary. All the primary school children I meet are lovely, but I have to say that the Overseal Primary school students were stunningly well-behaved and delightful. As always, I was asked a ranged of questions by brave students.
“I was able to have a brief catch up with the extremely experienced Co Headteacher, Mrs Hughes, which as always was very useful.”
