I have had an email from the Environment Agency that I wanted to share with you:
We wanted to inform you that heavy downpours are expected today that will bring a risk of localised surface water flooding to parts of the Midlands, the north-west and eastern areas of England. Currently the weekend forecast is for a much drier day on Saturday and some heavy rain or showers are likely on Sunday. We have extra staff on standby over the weekend and we will continue to monitor the situation, our Area Incident Room will be opened if necessary.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely along with the Met Office and local councils.
